How does the mat warm my cat without electricity?

A heat-reflective layer inside the mat captures the warmth your cat's body already produces and sends it back to her, instead of letting it sink into the cold floor. Nothing to plug in, nothing to charge.

Can it overheat?

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, then air dry or tumble dry on low. It keeps its shape and warmth wash after wash.

Can I use it for outdoor or feral cats?

Yes, as long as it stays dry: inside a cat house, garage, shed or covered porch.
